School Choirs are a long established school tradition and particuarly in Catholic Schools including here at St Patricks. In times gone by, the Sisters of St Joseph enthusiatically formed choirs that were of a very high standard that entered in local and regional
choir festivals.
In later years choir festivals have waned with no local choir festival now in Te Awamutu.
School Choirs are formed to sing at Community Masses, support School Productions
(even years), support World Vision 'Kids for Kids Massed Choir performances (odd years) and to sing at Christmas time around the Old Folks Homes.
Our school choir is usually formed from Children from about Year 4 upwards.
