The Hamilton Diocese

We are proud to belong the The Catholic Diocese of Hamilton.

Our Diocese stretches from Huntly in the North, to Taupo in the South, across to Gisborne in the East and Taumaranui in the West.

Our leader is Bishop Steve Lowe and his Cathedral is the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Hamilton East. The whakatoki for the Diocese is Ko te Ariki toku Hepara, The Lord is my Shepherd.

There are 43 parish communities in our Diocese, 28 primary schools, five secondary schools and one ECE.
